Hello.
So I took my system apart for some maintenance, and to do some minor cable management, but upon plugging everything back in my system will not start

As soon as I press the power button, one case fan will attempt to spin ever so slightly. Like it just twitches, and then nothing. Did I somehow just screw up my MOBO?

My PSU is a Rosewill 550w if that’s helpful, and my MOBO is a Gigabyte 970A-DS3P

Any help is greatly appreciated as I am super frustrated with myself haha!

Thanks for the response!
Unfortunately I do not have a spare power supply that is strong enough (the other only being a 250w) and I’m positive all the cables are plugged in firmly, and correctly. I can’t get it to boot even with a screwdriver, and bridging the two power connectors together.

Try reseating the RAM and maybe even loosening the screws on the heat sink a tiny tiny bit, and remove the graphics cards if you have one. When reseating the RAM switch its places, first stick goes in where the seconds was and vice-versa.
Also, while doing this make sure you are always touching the PC case to ground yourself and don't risk shorting anything.

Such a stupid mistake. Did you manage to order the new motherboard? I'm glad to find out that the motherboard is fine and you don't need a replacement 😀

Haha fortunately no! I decided to keep diagnosing until I found the problem. Took me way to long as well haha!
