PC will not pick up external audio!!!

my pc only picks up audio from the monitor, and ive tried updating all drivers, reinstalling them, even resetting my computer did nothing.
It’s an MSI nightblade mi3
please help me!
they wont even be picked up in the device manager or in the audii devices! theres only the acer nvidia output and 2 hdmi nvidia outputs
i have 2 HD audio controllers, one that has error code 10!

First make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard, then make sure you've uninstalled and reinstalled the audio drivers(after sourcing them from MSI's support site, here).

How do I update my BIOS? I have the file. There are multiple.exes though...

I just trie both, I attempted to update BIOS and it came up with a black screen with a white box. I also installed the drivers. It said that the best drivers were already installed for my computer.

Question from kavz8623 : "speakers, mic nor headphones detected"

I plugged in my astro A10s into my PS4, and after plugging my headst back into the computer, the computer wouldnt detect anyhing! my speakers, which were plugged in; werent showing up on the device list, and my headphones and mic arent either.
Beforehand i had installed voicemod to mess around. I deleted it after problems connecting the mic, as it woukd only pick up the line in device. I’ve checked device manager, and there were 2 HD audio controllers, one with a code 10
i spoke to microsoft and they ruined my pc, nothing would open. forcing me to reset my PC
they still arent getting picked up, the only working device is my monitor audio, the other devices are 2 nvidia hdmi output devices, nothing shows up on troubleshoot.
please help me!

You've posted this thread in the Laptop's section. In that case, might want to pass on the make and model of your laptop as well as your SKU. On another note, you might also want to check and see if you're on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard. Then reinstall your OS after recreating the bootable installer for OS using Windows Media Creation Tools. I'm also assuming you're on Windows 10 since it's not mentioned anywhere in your thread's body.
