I built my first PC in January, and recently installed a new CPU cooler (a CoolerMaster 212evo). The fan on the cooler overhung the first RAM slot, so I just moved the RAM sticks into slots 2 and 3. This caused my system to only recognize 4 of the 8gb of RAM (but it was still POST-ing and running well).
Today I moved the fan to the other side of the cooler and moved my RAM sticks back to slots 1 and 3. In the process of moving the fan I rotated the cooler somewhat. After this my PC would not post. I moved the RAM sticks back to 2 and 3 again, and it still won't post.
Any suggestions for fixing my PC or ideas on what I broke?
