My PC Will Not Power on. I want to either find te source of the problem and replace the component that is making my PC refuse to power on or find the problem and fix it.

Recently, my PC started to lag a lot as I was playing a game. The ping would go extremely high and then my PC would start to freeze for around a split second. It kept doing this until I quickly restarted my PC and after te restart, my PC was back to normal. This has at least happened three times until I once shut down my PC, then attempted to boot it up with no success.

Is that a sign of a power supply failing or a motherboard short circuit? Please help!

When you say it won't power on, does it not respond at all when you press the power button, or does it try to turn on at all and then just turn back off?

If it's the former, we can quickly test your PSU to see if it works by either getting a PSU tester (cheap) or by the paperclip test. I provided a link to a video on the paperclip test below. It 'seems' dangerous, but there is no chance of electrocution as long as you put the paper clip in the right spot. If you are not comfortable with this, get a psu tester from a local computer shop and follow the instructions.
