The other day I was talking with my friend over skype, downloading a relatively small file, and watching a youtube video, and just like that my screen went blank and my computer shut off. I turned my computer back on and the screen acted like it wasn't plugged in, as did my keyboard and mouse. All the lights and fans were on, and it stayed on, but there was nothing on my screen. I tried to shut it down using the power button, but no matter how long I pressed it, it would not shut off, so I had to use the PSU switch. Now, a few notes, my hard drive used to make a constant soft clicking noise, it no longer made this sound when my computer received power, or when plugged into a friends computer, however the drive was still readable. I also tested another higher wattage power supply in my computer, and it made no difference, fans on, lights on, no noise from hard drive, and no response from peripherals. I've only had the computer for about 4 months, haven't really pushed it that hard. My specs are below.

-Crucial Technology 8GB (2x4GB) Ballistix Sport Series 240-Pin DIMM DDR3 PC3-12800 Memory Module Kit
-Hitachi 0A36073 Ultrastar YP9197 1TB 32MB Cache 7200RPM
-AMD FX-4300 Vishera Quad-Core 3.8GHz (4.0GHz) Sock
-EVGA 430W 80 Plus Certified Active PFC 12V 34A Power Supply
-Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo Direct Touch 4 Heatpipe Heatsink
-EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 2GB SuperSC GDDR5
-Windows 7 64 Bit

Solution
I'm putting my money on a MOBO problem, and a serious one, USB not responding, PSU is fine and all working half-assed seems kinda clear, please tell me you have another one to test D:

Check your connections from MOBO to the rest of your PC
