Hi everyone and thanks for the answers in advance:

HDD - Hitachi LG 300

RAM - 2 X 4GB Rip Jaws DDR3-1600 1.5V

GPU - Nvidia Geforce GTX-460

CPU - Intel Q9000 Quad Core 2.4GHZ

PSU - 1080 watts

Motherboard - Intel DP45SG

So, here is my problem. Today I received my new cpu (specified above) and when I installed it and turned it on, I received 3 consecutive beeps from POST (already knows that means RAM issues). Everything was working perfectly before I replaced my old one, an Intel Celeron 1.6 GHz. Here are the things I have tried thus far:

1. Tested all the RAM
2. Reseated everything
3. Replaced the Videocard with another
4. Reset the CMOS
5. Unplugging everything

Nothing else happens, the screen is still blank. Any help would be appreciated :)

Yes, this is the second different 'new' cpu i have tried, yet the same results keep happening.

does the motherboard support the core 2 quad? Many lga 775 boards did not have full support for every lga 775 cpus. Seems that that board does not support as in on the cpu support list for the q9000. Try the latest bios

Edit: Actually there is no 2.4Ghz core 2 quad in the 9xxx model numbering only the q6600
