Question Pc will not turn off after flipping psu switch off and on ?

Every time I turn my psu off and then back on my pc will not start.

However, if i turn it off and then take out the cmos battery for 10 seconds and put it back in my pc will start working again. I have to do the cmos battery every time i turn off the power supply.

Without turning off the power supply switch my pc will turn on and off normally.

What you have described does not mean there's something wrong with your PC.

There is no need to flip the PSU rocker-switch to the "off" position every time you shut down your PSU.

I know I don't need to switch the psu off every time but sometimes I will turn it off when I need to change a part, clean, or move the pc. This shouldn't happen often but when it does I would need to take out the cmos battery which is inconvenient.

My psu was failing. I tried a different motherboard which wouldn't start at all. Then switched my psu and it worked perfectly.
