I've seen multiple threads regarding this issue, but everyone seem to be talking about PSU malfunctions.

The issue occurred a day after I had replaced my PSU and GPU. It shutted down properly the day I got them.

My PC will shut down, screen turns black and led lights won't blink. However, tower is kept on. Fans are still running, and the power button light is still on. Sleep mode works fine though.

I took my PC to a technician, and he said all hardware is perfectly fine and that it has to do with my motherboard and I should wait for Asrock to release an update fixing this problem as it is a common bug, he said.

Here's what I have tried:

  • Unplugged everything off my tower and left it there for 24 hours.
Held the power button for 4, 5 and 10 seconds.
Updated motherboard to the latest firmware.
    Updated all drivers.
Tried shutting it down in safe mode.
Tried shutting it down before the computer even boots.

My motherboard is ASRock Z77 Pro4-M.

Really hope we find a solution because it is getting really tiring to bend down bellow my desk, down to the tower, so I can force it power off by switching off and on the tower.

Is there any risk of burning the motherboard by doing that?
