I went to install a new NVME drive (which was simple enough) but when i tried to turn my pc on, it won’t give me any display or peripheral power. The VGA light is a solid orange.

I’ve tried removing both GPU’s and trying just the onboard graphics, but i did not find any success. i removed the NVME as well. any suggestions???

specs:
Intel i5 5700K
Asus Prime Z270 Pro Carbon
GPU 1: PNY GTX 1060 6G
GPU 2: MSI GTC 1050 Twin FROZR 2G
RAM: 8GB 2x4gb DDR4 G Skill Ripjaw

Solution
Was the PC unplugged when you went to install the SSD?

Perhaps try resetting the CMOS - the motherboard will have jumpers to let you do that, and the manual you can get on the Asus site will explain the process.
