Question Pc won’t boot

As the title says, pc won’t boot. I installed a new psu and a new graphics card but it won’t boot at all. When I flip the switch on the psu it acts like it’ll turn on but then turns off.

Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3.8 GHz
RAM: G.Skill ripjaw 32GB DDR4 3200
CPU Cooler: Corsair iCUE H150i
Power: CORSAIR RM1000x
GPU: NVIDIA 4080 FE
SSD: Samsung 980 evo

did it ever work prior to the new GPU? a lot of people had issues with the nvidia power cables on the new 40series cards

Hard to say with the given information. Your motherboard should have debug leds to guide diagnostics. It would be helpful to know which leds light up when you try and boot the pc. A quick guess of mine would be the bios version doesn't support the cpu. B550 boards came out before Ryzen 5000 was available, if you bought the motherboard early and never updated the bios, that could be the problem. However, if it's like it sounds and your cpu hasn't changed, then it's probably not the issue. Another guess of mine would be the psu protections kicking in. With all the news of the 12vhpwr catching fire, it makes me think there might be a faulty connection making the psu shut off.
