Question PC won’t post after installing new motherboard and 12th gen CPU

Gigabyte B660 Aorus Master DDR4 just installed with i7-12700K. Just installed a water cooler with it as well and it is compatible with the LGA 1700 CPUS. When I turn on the IO switch, the PC doesn’t post. The motherboard instead does short beeps consistently nonstop. I counted up to more than 30 times so clearly something may be wrong here. I have found no beep codes to help diagnose what may be the issue. Should I just take it to a Geek Squad? I literally have no idea what the beep codes could mean since it’s non stop/ forever.

No, what you SHOULD do is go through this list, several times, to be absolutely sure it isn't something on the list because almost every case like yours tends to be due to one of the mentioned problems there:

AND if nothing is resolved after you do that, and DO DO that, because even experienced builders like many of us are occasionally make one of these mistakes despite doing it forever, then do this.

yeah, I heard if the cpu cooler isn’t connected properly, it will not boot since the motherboard is trying to prevent the cpu from heating up. Other than that, I’ve tried almost all of the steps. I’m starting to assume I may have a DOA motherboard or cpu.

With the amount of unnecessary RGB cables the cooler provides, it’s honestly hard to tell. I’m also not sure if I need to connect the cpu fan connector into the CPU_FAN or CPU_OPT. The three holed connector that comes out of the CPU itself is connected to the fan hub on the other side.

Also, my cooler only has only one fan. The manual shows that I have two.

Oh and I just realized, the motherboard isn’t what is beeping. The CPU cooler is what’s actually beeping, and it lights up after every beep.

WHICH connector are you connecting to the CPU FAN header? The fan connector or the pump connector? There are three connectors on your cooler. The ARGB connector, the fan connector that should be connected to the fan on the radiator and the pump connector which should be connected to the CPU FAN header. If all that is correct and according to the manual then I'd say maybe you have a bad cooler. Do you have a 4 pin PWM fan you can connect to the CPU FAN header temporarily just to see if it will POST that way?
