Question PC won’t post, everything runs and spins, no error LEDs

Hi, this is my first time posting here!

I have this problem with my new PC build. My friend has this exact same build and works just fine, was just built few months back)

Everything seems ok, PC is powered , fans are spinning in case and CPU, GPU fans are spinning, just se can’t get to post (bios). There is no error on motherboard either, none of the error LEDs are shining. You can even feel that CPU and GPU gets “warm”.

My build:

MB: Gigabyte B650 UD AC
CPU: Ryzen 5 9600X
GPU: RTX 4070 super
PSU: Gigabyte UD750GM
RAM: Patriot Viper 7200 MHz DDR5 32 GB kit

Things I tried

One stick of ram, different GPU, different monitor, reset cmos, refitting all cables, removing all connected USBs, removing hard drives and leaving empty. Different HDMIs. We are empty on ideas..

Is there a chance of faulty MB or maybe I need to flash bios to the latest? That’s what I think is the most likely to be the solution. I heard new builds sometimes needs new bios to post.

CPU has no integrated GPU suddenly. But I tried connecting HDMI to different ports if it would make any difference.

Also, verify that the 8-pin and 24-pin motherboard power connectors are firmly attached on both ends (PSU and motherboard).

Oh.. I did not know that, thanks for letting me know that! I will try that as soon as I get home. But I think I already tried that because I was getting real desperate. Do you think it would post just on MB GPU and not dedicated?

I checked that yesterday. I can try reconnecting them once again, but they are very connected, I heard the click and there is no ,,space" between the connector and the cable plastic if you understand me.

Just to help make it clearer as you follow COLGeek's advice, with your system off remove the video car from your system so it cannot be detected and used. Then connect your monitor cable to the video output socket on your mobo's back panel and turn on. Your mobo should detect that there is NO video card and set itself to use only the mobo's CPU video abilities.

If that works, then you can return to figuring out how to get the added video card working. One small item I did not notice in posts above. Check the power connections into your video card from the PSU. It cannot operate without that. If I read the manuals for that card correctly, it needs a lot of power and thus comes with a special adapter cable. It has one connector to fit securely onto the card at its top, and several connectors on the other end to plug into several SATA power outputs OR into some sockets on a modular PSU. Check the card specs sheets for recommended PSU's with the proper outputs if you need to. Modular PSU's are NOT all the same!

So I tried removing the GPU and plugging just HDMI and DP straight into the MB. Still nothing.. No signal.

Thanks for clearing this out but GPU should be connected to PSU correctly. I have the power adapter for 16x pin and should be connected correctly. We even tried old RX 470 with just 6x pin and no help either.

Also, I just checked once again website of the motherboard and now I think BIOS is the one really to blame here. But I'm not sure of course

If you check the link, my CPU is listed as BIOS v.F31. Is it possible that my MB was shipped with just the version of F1? (not supporting 9000 series CPUs). I think maybe flashing bios will fix this? Because I tried almost everything, even our motherboard does not signal no errors. I just don't want to fail flash BIOS for nothing, maybe I'm not seeing something.

What do you think guys, any other ideas except the bios?
Is there any specific way of flashing my BIOS onto this MB?

Updating the BIOS is not necessarily your issue. That helps only if the BIOS you have is not able to work with the CPU you have and the NEW BIOS IS able. I suggest that FIRST you contact Tech Support at Gigabyte and verify whether a BIOS update will do any good for you at all.

When talking with them, IF they say you need to do that, there MAY be a small "trick" to it. If your problem really is that your mobo cannot use the CPU you have, to do the BIOS update you need to borrow and use a different CPU chip that the mobo CAN use. ASK Tech Support if this applies to your situation. If so, any recommendation for temporary CPU?

Even if the answer to that is yes, you still have a problem. The only way to do that is to use the mobo's special features via the KEYBOARD and SCREEN. If you cannot get ANY display on your monitor, you can't do that task! Now, IF the use of a temporary CPU will solve that blank screen issue, then you may be able to proceed. However, if not, your real problem is blank monitor screen, and that needs to be solved.

I got B650l Aorus Ultra(with no instruction damn it) and 9800X3D. No video signal. No error messages from the board. I will just flash the BIOS most likely today. For this motherboard it’s not necessary to have keyboard or mouse, nor disassemble whole build. Check the Q flash Plus function @Paperdoc. This function is even used for failed flashed bios.
