So i was playing siege when my screen suddenly went completely white and it played repetitive sound through my headset until i was forced to restart using the case restart button. When i reboot it it launches using integrated graphics (even though my HDMI port is still plugged into my GPU.) When my PC had rebooted I was only able to use 1024x768 resolution (even though i use ultra wide 2560x1080.)
So i left it for a day and came back on the next day having changed nothing with my hardware and suddenly i have the option to use 1920x1080. I only had the option to use 2560x1080 when i physically unplugged my GPU from my motherboard and plugged my HDMI into my motherbord.
I have had this pc for just over a year now and my specs are:
My GPU is a GTX 780
i5-4460 CPU @ 3.20GHz
8 gig of DDR3
750 watt psu
64 bit windows 10
When my gpu is plugged in the fans still run and when looking up my PC specs on websites that tell you system specs it still registers my GPU.
Think that is about everything i have tried but i am guessing that this is likely
hardware failure.
OK so i was going to reinstall drivers so i went my GPU properties and i get this error message:
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
I looked this up and apparently this is most likely driver failure so i am going to reinstall drivers now then. It says this is either driver failures or hardware failures so from what was said im guessing its safe to say drivers are the problem
