I recently bought 2x8 3000mhz ddr4 corsair vengeance which are the exact same as my current 2 sticks that I was using without problem, after installing them I got a beep error code for conventional/extended memory error, I then tried both the new set and the old set by themselves in both dual channel and then each stick individually each time getting the same error code, I also tried resetting the cmos by removing the battery for about 5 minutes and still the same error code any help is appreciated.
My specs are
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA AB350 GAMING 3
CPU: Ryzen 7 2700X
GPU: Rtx 780
RAM: DDR4 2x8GB 3000MHz corsair vengeance

If you are getting any kind of beep, refer to your motherboard manual, online or offline, and find out what it indicates.

It could mean different things depending on the manufacturer.

In case of dell, 1 beep means possible system board failure or BIOS ROM checksum failure.

If you installed or replaced the memory module, ensure that it is seated properly.
