[SOLVED] PC won't boot after installing new graphics card (GTX 1050ti)

So I replaced my older graphics card(this is where everything was still working fine) with a newer gtx 1050ti, I connected the PCIe cables (6pin in gpu and 6+2 pin in PSU) but whenever i try to boot, my monitor is just showing no signal at all. Fans, PSU and CPU start spinning except for the GPU which i think is normal since it's a gtx 1050ti. There's no red led light showing or anything. Everything seems to work just fine. Tried using other HDMI cables, monitors but no luck. My Psu has more than enough power. Decent motherboard aswell.

There's one thing i want to mention though. When i got the PCIe cable I cut the 8pin into a 6 pin because I thought there was a 6 pin in my PSU but there's a 6+2 pin. Might that be the problem or is there something else going on here ?

Been to some pc stores and they told me my PSU is not strong enough or my GPU is broken.

SPECS:

gpu: GTX 1050ti
cpu: AMD Ryzen 3 2200G 3,5Ghz
psu: Corsair RM550x
motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F
ram: Corsair 16GB DDR4-3000
