so i turned off my pc last night and i also turned off the power supply to have the rgb lights on the motherboard to get turned off without knowing that its bad for the computer, now the pc will not boot and the motherboard lights up the cpu and ram lights to indicate that they are not working properly do i need to get them replaced or do i need to replace the motherboard. I use a surge preotecter and I have tried resetting the cmo. all the fans spin to life when power is supplyed but it wont boot this happened before with just the ram light and after a new motherboard it started up again

I don't know where you got that info but you're actually advised to turn off your system when it's not in use since hibernation or sleep still draws power from the wall. How else do you explain that the system powers up without a hitch when you wake it up from sleep?

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model.
