I just received another 8GB of G.Skill Ripjaws RAM. I already have 8 installed, and just installed the other 8. I powered on my PC and it doesn't even boot. It powers on, but doesn't boot anywhere. There is a solid red light next to the RAM DRAM Led and MemOK! My motherboard is an Asus M5A99x Evo R2.0. I removed the RAM and my PC booted just fine. What is my issue? Is the RAM faulty?

Update: My RAM is also the exact same. I bought it from the same exact link I had originally purchased from during my build.

FIXED ISSUE: I reseated the RAM again and it booted. I think one of the slots wasn't secured enough.

I have a felling it is you ram you just bought. Try using your new stick in the first along in the slot you have your old stick in and if that does not work then it must be the ram is DOA and try to contact the manufacturer for a refund or a replacement.

Sorry to here that it sucks dealing with that stuff.

Just updated post, it was my own fault haha! I reseated it again and it worked fine. I just don't think I secured it well enough.
