PC won't boot after rearranged hard drives.

Hi,

I got a new SSD a few days ago and inserted it in my computer. After that the computer wouldn't boot but I fixed that by moving my bootdrive (SSD) from sata 4 to sata 1. Problem solved and everything worked fine.

Then I decided that I wanted to mount my two SSDs on the dedicated SSD mount on my Fractal Design Define S Nano case. So I unplug the SATA and SATA power cables from my SSDs, mount the SSDs in their dedicated spot and plug the same SATA cables into the same SSD as before. I power up my PC but nothing happens, the motherboard and graphicscard rbg light up and all the fans start spinning but I get no response in the monitor which says "DVI no signal found" which is the same thing that happened the first time which I solved by moving from sata 4 to sata 1.

But the problem is different now, my bootdrive SSD is already connected to sata 1 but I have tried booting from the other 3 SATA ports as well. Both with and without my new SSD and old HDD connected.

Any thoughts? I have tried everything I can think of and I have eliminated cable issues as I have tried all cables from every single SATA port. I also know there is nothing wrong with the DVI port or monitor as I have tried HDMI aswell both to the monitor and a backup monitor. The SATA connecters on my harddrives and on the motherboard all look undamaged aswell, so I have ruled that out aswell.

Check the boot order in your BIOS, and make sure the boot SSD is listed first in the order. Windows sometimes freaks out when you move ports, esp on boards that have both 3g and 6g integrated controllers so if windows is the problem an OS reinstall may be needed in extreme cases.

But how do I enter BIOS when the computer doesn't post anything to the screen? I've tried spamming F2 but no luck there

If you have upgraded windows from HDD to SSD, there can be things on the original HDD that are required to boot windows up.
That is why people recommend a fresh install on an SSD when only that is in the computer.
I would say it needs your old HDD to boot up.

To clarify, I have not moved my windows from any harddrive to another. Windows have always been on the same SSD. All I did was to switch my two SSDs physical location from just lying around at the bottom of my computer to mounting them on the dedicated spot. They are connected with the same SATA and SATA power cables as they were before I moved them. So again, all I did was to change their physical location inside of the chassi. They're still connected to that same SATA ports at the motherboard with the same SATA cables.

No bios screen or anything comes up when powering? Sounds like the bios order for graphics use has changed

Looks like something got knocked loose in the process of moving ssd’s. I would remove and firmly reseat ram, gpu, and all power connections to both mobo and gpu.

I solved it, I bought this computer used and it turns out that the previous owner hadn't properly inserted the power to the CPU so that the "clip" was loose. I probably pushed it loose (which wouldn't have happened if it was firmly inserted and the clip hade gotten attached. So I just pushed it in until I heard the click then everything started working properly again.
