Hi,

I went into a game and only seconds in my monitor turned itself off with the notification "No Signal". I then restarted the pc and now it won't boot. It shows the HP Screen and the Windows logo with the blue dots, but at that point the black screen occurs with a big white bar on it. (pic)

I have Windows 10, updated from a Windows 7 System. I never got a CD, but I have the license key if that is any help.

I took my graphics card out of the case before that, maybe I broke something during that process?

My System: Intel i7, Nvidia GTX 550 Ti, 8 GB Ram, 2 HDDs & 1 SSD

Thanks for your help!

Not sure which i7 (or motherboard) you have. If you give these 2 or your OEM PC name we can check. If you have integrated graphics capability, I would start by by removing the GTX 550 Ti and using Intel integrated graphics with the display connected to the motherboard and see if the system if functional without the card. Alternatively, you could swap the 550 GTX for another graphics card just to test.

My first thoughts is it's either the GPU driver malfunctioning or the GPU failing. There are others possibilities but this is the first that comes to mind.

I have an Intel i7 2600, and my Motherboard is a Pegatrom Corporation 2AB5.

I tried plugging the DVI into the Mainboard, didn‘t get a picture so I guess I do not have internal graphics. I‘m switching the PC anyway, but the HDDs and the SSD are coming along so I wanted to clean them before moving..

Both your CPU and motherboard should be able to support integrated graphics. Are you trying to do this while the graphics card is still installed? If the card is installed the motherboard generally turns off the integrated graphics automatically.

Oh yes you are right. I managed to start the PC up by removing the graphics card. So I guess the GPU is damaged, which is fine since I won't use it anymore anyway.

Thank you very much for your help!!
