Hi, I built my PC last summer and it stopped working recently and is failing to boot. The monitor shows no signal, no HDD light, and there's a solid red light on the motherboard.

I have tried another new PSU but the problem remained. I replugged everything (including the CPU), tried different power cables on different power outputs but it didn't help either. The rams and video cards are tested and should work fine. I sent it to a computer shop (a trusted one) to diagnose and they said the computer was fine and could work normally, but when I brought the desktop back it fails to boot again. I'm assuming there's something wrong with the power or voltage, if the CPU or MB really failed it wouldn't possibly work at the computer shop, but where could the problem be? Any help will be appriciated!

Specs:
Intel i5-6500
MSI Z170A SLI Plus
Corsair DDR4 8GBx2
Sapphire R9 390 Nitro
EVGA 650W G2
Samsung 850EVO 500GB + WD Black 1TB

Just because a motherboard lights up doesnt mean its working correctly, did this "trusted" computer shop check the motherboard. Also, did it display at the computer shop?

Thanks for answering. I brought the PC back to the computer shop today, it showed the red light on motherboard as well, but after about 30s it booted normally. They did check through my hardwares last time. I brought it back home again and hoping it would work as in the computer shop, but after waiting for a few minutes it's still stuck at the red light and black screen. As I mentioned, I had tried different power cables and outputs. What could possibly make it work at the computer shop but not work in my room?

Have you tried testing your monitor?
