PC won't boot. Brand new components.

Bought a new pc and the system won't boot. All the fans/lens turn on however I get nothing come out on my display. On the motherboard the VGA led turns on white and stays one. After trying some troubleshooting I replaced the graphics card and I am still getting the same error.

Components:
AMD 2600X
EVGA GTX 1080 SC
ASUS 90MB0VD0-M0EAY0 B350 Mini itx mobo.
Corsair Vengeance DDR4 Ram
Corsair SF600 PSU (600W)

do you know what bios version it has? as it may need an update before working with the 2600x

No idea. I haven't been able to boot at all. Cannot get into bios. Is there a way to update bios without booting?

Only some can do bios updates without it being bootable, i dont think yours can.

Might be worth speaking with the retailer who sold it to you, some offer a bios update service. Or Asus may be able to help.

If that the reason my pc is not booting I will return all the components and not bother.

Yeah could very well be. Your motherboard came out before your CPU did, so they usually need an update first.

If you had bought a B450 motherboard it would support the Ryzen 2 cpus straight out of the box.

So tried a first gen Ryzen CPU and still no boot. The error code changed though.

To answer your question. Initially I had the VGA however it then changed to BOOT led.

Just to add. I am very disappointed in the Asus Strix motherboard. They offer a 'quick and easy' led notification but all it says if it's VGA, Ram, CPU Or boot. The motherboard manual only mentions these once in the whole manual, they should talk more about these and what are common faults etc
