Question PC won't boot even after factory reset

Suddenly this morning my computer wouldn't boot. When restarting the PC, it would go past the bios screen, begin loading windows, and then my monitor would say "no signal" and go blank. After resetting 5 or 6 times the windows troubleshooting screen would pop up. When running the start up repair, it would fail and say the problem wasn't fixed, and no other option helped. Eventually, I opted to reset my computer. I've now done this 3 times, twice without deleting personal files and once with it. The computer would be prepped for reinstallation of windows, and begin that install. Everytime however, it would only make it to 9% completion and then attempt to restart where I would get the same no signal message from my monitor and the problem continues to persist, and I have to start over again. Not sure what else I can do. Any help is appreciated.

Well... I'm lost as to how I actually ended up fixing it but through a series of seemingly useless things I've managed to get it to boot. I changed SATA ports, removed the connection to my secondary drive, and booted up. I ran into the same problem with the display, but I heard Cortana begin to talk to me. I switched HDMI ports to the onboard graphics and got a visual signal. I went into the Bios and it says that my graphics card is still my primary display device, so I can't explain how or why my fix worked but it seems to be functional at the moment, and I will continue to work on this.

When did you last update display drivers?
Was the PC restarting each time the display went black or it carried on running?

If you heard Cortana but the screen was off it might just be the HDMI cable..? 😛

I would suspect overheating CPU causing instant shutdown only looking at your first post, but if you fixed it after doing all that... idk.
