I swear I just posted this, but now the thread has disappeared.
My PC will not boot and the M/B shows a 'C' error code which is 'CPU Error' for my M/B.
The fans spin up and all the lights turn on as expected, but nothing happens. I cannot turn the PC on with the power button anymore. I need to use the PSU button to turn it on. I have tried to short the pins, but it doesn't seem to work.
Intel 5820k (has been overclocked)
EVGA X99 Micro-2 M/B
EVGA GTX 1080
Prior to the crash I tested the RAM and it was fine. PSU seems fine. I was stress testing the GPU with FurMark when the last crash occurred as the PC kept crashing during load in gaming.
I am fairly confident that this is the CPU, but the power button no longer working is throwing me. I haven't experienced that before.
Any ideas?
