If I shutdown my computer I won't be able to boot it for hours after powering it on. It just shows a black screen whilst the computer and all its fans run for good 30 min before I either get lucky with it showing "computer failed to boot choose an option" and I choose "restore defauls and boot" (It's similar to this but I haven't seen it or a good couple hours now so I don't know if it's those exact sentences. Please forgive me) and thus the computer boots and as long as I don't shut it down it can run for days and even go into sleep with no problems rebooting or it just powers off and no results.

Things I try everytime...

1) disconnect power supply and usb cables after shutting down. Holding on button for 60 seconds. Reconnecting and booting. Doesn't work.

2) Doing same as above but opening computer and fiddling with cables making sure they're all attached to motherboard correctly.

3) This one actually worked once but I remove the battery in the motherboard and blow on it then place it back in... lol.

Also there's another weird thing that happens sometimes. On reboot it comes up with my motherboards old bios screen. It doesn't function and I can't press f9 or w/e for example to show boot menu. I say old screen because I re-flashed bios about 1.5 years ago and it replaced it with a new bios screen. Never had a problem until about 2 weeks ago when this rebooting crap starting to plague my PCs existence.

Would appreciate any helping with this matter. Pretty frustrating waiting couple hours for a lucky bios error to reboot my PC after a shutdown or a restart.

Solution
1. If you have a dual BIOS motherboard, the old BIOS screen may be most likely due to the updated BIOS being corrupted and the original BIOOS kicking in... so that clearly indicates a BIOS corruption issue, and you have to re-flash it... so, let the PC cool down the necessary time, and when you get a normally posting BIOS, reflash it... you can also update the BIOS from Windows if you find the right update package, it seems like a better update option since according to your own words Widows works normally and stable for days once it loads up.

2. The battery may have to be replaced.

3. Power issues may be contributing... check the AC connection to the PSU, and try a different known good PSU.

4. If you manage to get the BIOS...
Hi

Do you have access to a known good psu of appropriate power rating ?

Most Probably faulty motherboard or psu

But Easier to replace psu than motherboard

Consider following all the tests in toms faq for new builds but applies equally for problems occurring latter on

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems

If motherboard has dual bios and you did a bios upgrade you probably only upgraded main bios , after problems secondary bios is starting PC

Check cmos battery voltage (3.0v) and reset cmos using jumper method not removing button CMOS battery

It's simply not starting now. The other bios keeps coming up and trolling me. I removed by GPU to see if it's a PSU issue. I'm pretty certain it has nothing to do with PSU especially since once it's running it can go on for days/weeks/months unless I shutdown or restart.

Buying a new motherboard. Sucks.

What's your motherboard brand and model?... the manufacturer product page may have the specific information for repairing the BIOS with the secondary/backup BIOS... Look in the Product Page \ Support \ Downloads \ download the User_manual.pdf.. the BIOS repair or flash/update info should be in it.
