PC Won't boot (Not solved)

Solution

Sounds like a faulty PSU that won't trip to on. If you have a multimeter you can test to see if it's producing any power (I suspect it isn't). Perhaps has a blown fuse (some have resettable fuses, others have glass)? Worth checking.

It may seem silly to ask, but is the power switch on the PSU set to the on position?
Have you properly connected the fiddly little plugs for the switches to the correct places on the motherboard? Check it against what it says in the motherboard manual.

Don't think I do but you could well be right. If I haven't managed to get it working by friday I'm probably going to take it into a shop.
