PC wont boot up after cpu upgrade

hello there , i am new here i have a problem after upgrading my pc cpu from Pentium d 915 to core 2 duo e4600 it frezes on boot up,
PC Model :Lenovo A55-9641
What to do, update bios?how when it freezes , or replace the old one and then update? Please help

when i press enter nothing happens.

There is shows the e4300 as compatible but not the e4600.

Did you update the BIOS?

no i havent updated bios, in this site it even says i can upgrade to e4400 http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/migr-67315
so should replace e4600 to e4400?
+ in your site it there isnt pentium d 915 model
