hi!
i recently had to push the button a few times to get it to boot up. however it hanged just now and i forced shut it. now it wont even boot up at all after a few hours. cpu fan spins for like a sec and stops at first and now doesnt even bother spinning even though i turned off the power switch. i only have a spare psu which is quite weak.(550w). i dont have any other spare parts other than really old parts from 10 plus years ago. no overclocking was done and the pc could not detect a cmos battery even though there was 1 and its less than a year old so it cant be flat already. a red light would come on when it was at the bios and cmos set screen but disappear after i continue on the boot up. any help would be really nice thanks!

my specs are
mobo :asrock h97 killer
cpu i5 4690k
gpu: r9 390 power color
8gb 1600mhz ram
1tb hdd

Well you don't need all. There is one big 20+4 port, this is from the biggest cable of the PSU. There is one 4+4 or just 4pin made for the CPU , easy to see as well. The others are for the hard drives, which you don't even have to unplug. Just follow the example of your old PSU.

Hi!
Thanks for the prompt reply. I thought of doing that but how do i know what ports of the motherboard do i need to plug cables in?
