PC won't boot up

I just built my PC, I plugged it into the power outlet and connected my monitor to the motherboard. ( my graphics card didn't come yet ). All the fans work but my monitor says no signal. Is my mobo broken?

Check the connection of the 24 pin conector to the mobo check if the power switch is put in corectly. If you have the time reasemble the pc, during assembly a micro mistake can mean that a pc won't boot up

I checked the 24 pin connector and it still won't boot up

I have a
gigabyte h170
Intel core i5-6600k
2 gskill ripjaws ram (8gb each)

1. Why did you get a 6600k and h170. k cpu's go with z170 mobos. A k cpu will go with h170 but u cant overclock it it so it's pointless
2. As I said the best solution is to rebuild the pc again do it slower and more carefully with this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bUghCx9iso video.
3. Check every power and data connector (before you rebuild, not to waste time if it was a fixable mistake)
4.Check the case power switch connector (before you rebuild, not to waste time if it was a fixable mistake)

Yea i will probably return the mobo and get a different chipset where I can oc

And also get a good cpu cooler. The cryorig h5 ultimate is just about 50$ I use it and with my recommended mobo the asus z170 pro gaming for about 150$ and overclock my 6600k about 4.5 ghz not going over 75 degrees. Be sure to get both of them.

Low rating on newegg, and a micro atx mobo, you want regular atx. The z170 pro gaming is perfect

The hyper 212 is a good solution for non overclockers. Since you will overclock it will not be sufficient. What is the other mobo you found?
