My PC shut off in the middle of a game last night, and attempted to turn itself on afterwards before shutting off again. Power button does nothing, however the USB ports get power and a 'Clear CMOS' light lights up, which I have never observed before.

No fans, no POST (no speaker, so cannot tell if it does) and no LEDs.

Any ideas?

Specs:
ASUS ROG Rampage III GENE motherboard
Intel Core i7 (not sure what model)
AMD Radeon HD 5800
6GB DDR3 RAM (3 slots)
Corsair GS600 PSU

Solution
with a pc of your age it can be a power supply failure or mb. i would try a test power supply if there no post or change use the mb usb flashback port if there one on your mb and reflash the bios see if anything changes.
HOnesty goes a long ways.......... it is how you learn. The people who post questions here are learners and I respect them not stupid comments. Your rabbit may not live long. Does that help? Or should I recommend you see a vet?
