Hi, I just bought a 2x4gb kit of the exact same 8gb ram kit I;ve been using for the past 2 years, when I tried to install all 4 ram sticks, my pc wouldnt boot. All sticks work, along with all of the ram slots, but it just won't boot with 4 sticks, however it will boot with 3 sticks, that being 12gb of ram. Pls help!

if if works if you take out that one stick it most likely is dead, if you have warranty you might wanna try get a new one, in the worst case you will just have to survive on those 3 or get a new one

You mean that the ram slot may be dead on the mobo correct?

Most likely tha RAM stick is dead, its not rare that they die, on my old laptop one stick suddenly died after reboot and after i looked at the stick itself there was piece of, solder i think its in english?, was falling off and it was bound to die soon, this might not be the case at all and the RAM is just dead, but i would also try checking the slot and the stick if there is not any dirt or gunk, that could also be the issue.
