I have a laptop HDD plugged into my Pc for extra memory, and a 1tb regular HDD plugged in. But when the laptop HDD is plugged in, my PC won't go pass the "starting windows" screen! The HDD also won't show up if I try plugging it in post boot, and I can't get into setup If I use a windows 7 disk. Any know how to fix this?

Hi there, is windows located on the laptop or the normal hard drive?
Seems to me like the BIOS hasn't properly configured the hard drive.
Enter the BIOS by entering F12 e.t.c and see if its locating the laptop hard drive.
Hope this helps!

If they are both the same Operating systems then it may not be able to chose between them.
I would recommend deleting windows from the laptop hard drive by using the laptop itself or plugging it in to a USB using a adapter.
Hope this helps!

I tried to access the windows 7 setup via a windows 7 installation disk, but it just freezes! and I can't use the laptop because it has battery issues... :/ the laptop HDD has windows 8 on it though..
