PC wont boot with new HDD

So my pc stopped working a couple weeks ago. The old HDD went bad and the computer wouldnt boot because of it. The fans would stutter and the led would flicker but thats it. Upon removing the hard drive i could then boot my computer. At this point im sure its the hard drive so i order new one. I got it this morning and plugged it in, tried to boot but the same thing happened as it did with the old one. My computer will still boot as long as a harddrive isnt plugged in.

It may not be your hard drive then. Based off of the symptoms you described it sounds like a PSU problem. Try using another PSU and see if that fixes the issue.

What are your current specs, by the way?
