So I own a Z390 AORUS MASTER motherboard and a G.Skill 4x8GB F4-4266C17Q-32GTZR RAM kit.

The reason I bought those together was because I saw on a site that they were compatible. HOWEVER, upon trying to use xmp profile, the computer just wont boot... I did some more research using other websites and actually didnt find this ram kit to be compatible with this motherboard at the XMP profile so I guess my mistake there.

Now, I can run this thing at 4133mhz by selecting it manually in BIOS, now as you'd expect this gives me pretty bad timings, "22-29-29-64"...

I just wanted to know if there is any way I can get this to work at much lower timings by changing settings in BIOS manually?

Thanks in advance,

DDR4-4266 won't be plug-n-play on all CPUs. Some manual tuning might be required. With that said, make sure your motherboard is running the latest firmware. Sometimes newer firmware brings better memory overclocking support.

For memory overclocking on Z390, there are two main voltages that you'll need to finetune: VCCSA and VCCIO. Both are voltage sensitive so use small increments and test for instability until you find the sweet spot for your CPU. For daily usage, I would keep these two voltages below 1.30V.
