Hi everyone for a start I have TVE following specs:

Asus P8H61-M LE R2.0 motherboard
Intel E97379-001 2.900ghz
ATI HD Radeon 4600 series
And a 2GB 2x1 corsair RAM DDR3 1333 (VS2GB133D3)
Win 8.1 pro 32bits

So it's a fairly acceptable pc, I use it for school and some games like payday 2, Fallout 3, Dota nothing that requires too much. But I wanted to add more ram So I bought another corsair ram of 4GB 4x1 (CMV4GX3M1A1333C9)
I know I shouldn't mix two different models but in the country I live it's all I can do... We aren't allowed to use more than 3000$ per year so I can't afford more.

My problem is that when I add the new ram the PC just won't boot the screen stays black but when I took it off the PC boots normally with the old ram. Both ram slots work fine since the old ram works well in the two.

But even if a try the new 4GB ram alone in whatever slot the PC just won't run...

I updated the BIOS to the latest and the PC turned on with the new ram but crashed at the initial screen giving me this error: BSOD KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED Windows 8.1
I searched and it seems like a virus but I don't really know beats me... And the new ram never booted again but if I put the old 2GB ram it boots nomaly.

I tried many things like resetting the BIOS, using different BIOS firmwares, taking out the CMOS battery, and nothing I just can't get it to work with the new ram? I'm starting to assume it's just faulty and nothing can be done but any suggestions? (The ram was new from the blister)

you have 32-bit Windows, which will not accept more than 4GB RAM.

Also, you gave us the name of your CPU stock cooler, not your actual CPU. It's also possible that your CPU does not support DIMMs over 2GB, so your only option here is to buy another 2GB DIMM instead of a 4GB one

No! You don't get it I know win 32 buts dont support more than 3gb of ram but the pc should turn on but it doesnt even turn on... the screen stays black a nothing happens I cant even get to the bios! and my motherboard supports up to 16GB of ram so I dont think that is the problem... and osrry for not naming my proccesor well im not really tech savy but is a good one tho its a Intel (R) Pentium (R) CPU G2020 @ 2.90GHZ and it supports up to 32GB of ram so...

The 4 GB DIMM may be incompatible with your motherboard (due to memory chip architecture, and/or due to variations in component tolerances). Or, the DIMM may be faulty. Or, the DIMM may be both faulty and incompatible with the motherboard.

If possible try the 4 GB DIMM in another computer to verify that it works or doesn't work. It is possible that the DIMM may also be incompatible with other computer's motherboards but that is a chance that has to be taken.
