So, last morning i tried to start my PC, but it didnt work and just stopped blank at the Asus screen. The hard drive made a constant noise, and sometimes make a clicking noise every 3 seconds. Eventually it booted up, but didnt get further than the black screen between the first starting Windows and the logon screen, before it started making noises again and froze. I had checked the bios several times but only the CD-Rom showed up in the boot priority list. Then all of a sudden it worked perfectly, all throughout the day until i shut it down that evening. This morning when i was turning it on again, all the same thing happened again. it made the same weird noises, and they are seeming to come from the hard drive. I tried to take of all cables such as ehternet, mouse, etc. except from a keyboardand a monitor. it was working, then it stopped at the starting Windows screen, right before the Windows flag came. i have checked the sata and Power cables many times. Now, my BIOS are finding my HDD, but wont boot, just a black screen and a blinking white dot. Any suggestions?

My PC: Originally an asus prebuilt PC that i have upgraded.
Asus Motherboard (looks a lot like the h87m pro motherboard just that it has a bit fewer Connectors on the back IO)
Intel Core i5 4430s
12Gb AData RAM
GT640 3gb, upgraded to a MSI GTX770 TwinFrozr
Originally a some kind of 400w PSU, upgraded to a Cooler Master G650M
Cooler Master 690 III case.
Originally Windows 8, upgraded to Windows 7 (secure boot is disabled in BIOS)

UPDATE: Now it has stopped making noises, and it shows up in the bios as a 1000gb hard drive, but it doesnt show up in the boot priority. Im really confused now.

It sounds like your HDD may be going. Get any data from it if it boots again and do not turn it off until you do. You can try running a third party drive utility like Seatools or the WD HDD utility to check its health.
