PC won't boot

Hello!
Should I buy a new MoBo / CPU or is there anything else I could try before?

I've read many threads on this topic and I tried to be as much complete as possible in my tests, before posting a new one.

This is my scenario:
I left my PC turned on because it was busy on a long download. When I came back to it, it was frozen: mouse cursor not moving, keyboard inputs doing nothings.
I held the power botton down for a few secs to power it off and then, when started again, there was absolutely no signal on monitor. Fans were spinning (CPU fan, GPU fan, case fan, all of them), case lights were on, I heard the familiar HDD sound, but the monitor was black. No video errors, no sound errors, no BIOS, nothing.

Ah, until today, I've been using this system for a long time. I made no hardware / software changes recently.

Before running the tests below, I removed all unnecessary hardware, especially USB plugs. I left only MoBo, CPU, VideoCard, HDD, RAM and Monitor. Sometimes I removed also mouse and keyboard.

What I tried so far: (all of these gave me the same result as above)

  • - I've 4x4GB of RAM, I tried a couple of 2x4GB, then the other couple, in both slot pairs
    - I tried a working couple of RAM from another PC
    - I tried a single stick of RAM
    - I tried another working VideoCard (a GTX 660) from another PC
    - I tried a working PSU from another PC
    - I tried a working monitor from another PC, both in HDMI and DVI ports
    - I tried removing power cord and CMOS battery for about 8 hours
What I tried so far: (which gave me a different result)

  • - I tried to put the VideoCard in the other PCI slot: absolutely no signals, no fans spinning, no lights, nothing at all
    - I tried with no RAM: continuous error beeps from the MoBo
These are my specs:

  • - MoBo: GA-970A-UD3P
    - CPU: FX 8350 (plus Arctic cooler)
    - GPU / VideoCard: Palit GTX 960
    - RAM: 4x4GB Crucial DDR3 1600 MhZ
    - PSU: Thermaltake Berlin 630W
So, back to my question... Do you think my MoBo or CPU are dead? Replacing with both new MoBo and CPU should solve my problem? Or is there anything else I could try? Could the problem be elsewhere?

Thank you very much for your attention.

No beeps at all. Fans spinning, lights on, etc as before.

Thank you. Can be the excuse to upgrade the system :) I'd just hate to buy a new CPU and MoBo to solve nothing.
