PC wont boot

i have the NZXT S340 Elite tempered glass case, i7-6700k, Asus Tuf z370 plus gaming mobo, two sticks of DDR4, and a 735W PSU. I have put everything together but it wont boot the fans only spin for a second and stop, the light for the power button briefly turns on as well. There is no boot and I have tried connecting the 8 pin differently with no avail as well as tried a different PSU and I don't know what to do please help this is my first build

If the fans only spin for a second and then stop, there may be a short somewhere in the system, perhaps the case standoffs underneath the motherboard. You should probably breadboard the system.

I checked the standoffs and there all fine but i am missing one in the middle, and ive never heard of breadboard whats that?

Here is your problem these 2 items do not work together.

i7-6700k, Asus Tuf z370 plus

The Z370 boards only work with the 8xxx processors. To use the processor you have you need a Z170 or Z270 board.
