Hello everyone,
I just tried to install a new 2 tb m.2 drive in my pc. Shutdown pc and removed the power, removed the 256 m.2 drive (formatted this drive before I shut down the pc) and installed the new 2 tb m.2 drive. After installing all my drives show up in the bios under storage information, but I can not select my operating system drive to boot from so windows won't start. Any ideas? I tried removing the 2tb drive and have everything back to original, but it is still the same thing. Windows is currently installed on a 1tb m.2 drive. Mother board is a asus z590 a.

Update. Just tried removing all my other drives besides the 1tb drive that has windows on it. It shows up in the bios as a 1tb drive under storage information, but there are not any options to choose it as a boot drive. Boot priority is blank

Update 2. So I figured that I would put everything back the way it was and give it a try. So I re inserted the 256gb (formatted) drive into the motherboard. When I started the pc, everything was back to normal and windows booted. Double checked to make sure that it was the formatted drive that I removed, and it was. This one is really throwing me for a loop and makes zero sense. Any thoughts?
