PC won't detect GPU

The problem I have started after I made a hard shutdown because a game crashed. When I turned on the PC my monitor showed a "no signal" message, tried disconnecting the hdmi cable, the monitor, restarting my PC, things that had worked on other occasions with this problem but with no luck this time. At this moment my PC is connected to the monitor via VGA, i uninstalled the NVIDIA drivers with DDU and the problem persists. I have not tried using another hdmi cable, but the problem may not be the cable because I tried it with a laptop and it worked just fine. Is it possible that it is due to some recent Windows update? My GPU (Asus Strix GTX 970) seems to be fine and was working perfectly until the moment when the game crashed.

If it's showing no connection and signal during BIOS phase than it has nothing to do with OS and/or drivers.
