PC Won't Output Video

So, my friend has recently built a new system, and I sold him my old graphics card to be in it. The first time that he tried to boot it up, everything seemed to be fine, but there was no video output to the monitor through HDMI. Can anyone suggest why this might be happening?
Spec list:
Cpu - Ryzen 2200G
Motherboard - ASUS Prime B350-plus
GPU - Gigabyte GTX 1050 OC 2GB
PSU - 650W
RAM - 16GB
Hard Drive - WD 1TB

Does he get a signal from the onboard (graphics card removed)? If not, the board's BIOS might need an update for supporting that CPU.

No signal from the integrated graphics either.
To update the BIOS, does he need an older AM4 CPU, and if so, should my Ryzen 7 1700 work well?

Tell him to update to the latest BIOS version. He got lucky somehow, with you selling him the graphics card .
You should have asked for more
