I've recently bought a 2tb crucial t500 m.2 ssd to replace my 256gb Samsung Evo boot drive but I can't seem to get it to post.
The new drive works fine in an external enclosure. But when I install it, the dram light turns on and the system won't reach bios.

I'm installing it in the same working slot as my previous working drive. (Was planning on doing a fresh windows install)

I'm working with a aorus z390 pro.

I've updated my bios to the newest release v13
I've cleared the cmos
I've even removed ram and only used one stick to attempt to boot.

I thought it was the drive and I got a replacement but the replacement is acting the exact same way.

If I return my old drive and leave the new one out. It boots up as normal..

If I install them both at the same time. It won't post.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

Samsung have a number of SSD's in their portfolio with the Evo suffix, which one do you have?
