Hey guys,

i have built a new system and am fearly conpetent in doing so.

Specs are:
I7 8700K
Gigabyte Gaming 5 MOBO
16GB of Corsair Vengeance ram old lot is version 3.20 and new lot is version 3.21 (same code on ram and same speeds)
GTX 1070x2
Custom watercooled loop D5 pump and res

so basically my issue is with any more than 2 sticks [of RAM] installed it wont boot. i can mix and match and its fine. the 2 slots on the left work and if i put 1 or 2 in the right slots it wont boot to the bios

I have tried enabling XMP
Changing the voltage to the ram 1.20 stock to 1.25 1.3 1.35

thanks in advance

Given it appears to be related to RAM slots... opposed to XMP profiles/voltages or individual "kits", I'd be inclined to reseat the CPU..... a bent pin could be relating to memory channels.

Slots 1&3 and 2&4 should be 'channels', so if you're limited to 1&2 (for example), you'll be running in single channel mode.

Dam I'm was hoping it wouldn't come to this... I have it under a custom loop and it took me ages to get all of the air bubbles out lol

Thanks
