Pc won't post

Hi guys, I recently upgraded from an i5 4570s to a 4770k. The cpu install went good, but now when I power it up, the fans start spinning but there is no post. The screen is black with no bios. Please help me.

We need FULL system specs, but it is possible that your MB will need a BIOS update to support the 4770K.

I have a gtx 1060, h97m pro 4 that was updated to the latest bios driver and 8gb of ram. The pc was working perfectly with the other cpu. I fear the cpu I bought from the person is defective.

That would be my guess, also.

Well the new CPU is supported on your motherboard. Have you tried to reset the bios by removing the CMOS battery? If that doesn't help then I suspect the new CPU is the issue.

Hmm, reseated the cmos and no cigar. Any other things I can try before I request a refund from seller?

Fixed it! A pin on my mobo was bent. Fixed it and low and behold it works.
