Pc won't post

Hello,

I've just got my new cpu and motherboard in this morning, and after replacing the old parts with the new ones the system won't even get to POST. All the fans start spinning, all LED lights turn on (even on the board itself) but no display or anything. I used the pc yesterday last so i'm 99% sure it has nothing to do with the other parts such as GPU etc.

I've tried the following:

- put 1 ram stick in the system (tried every slot)
- reconnected all wires
- took out the Cmos battery for 10 minutes
- took out the whole motherboard and build the bare minimum on the box (CPU, moterboard, RAM and power supply)
- took out the ram and tested it on an other pc, works fine
- tested it on 2 screens, one on integrated graphics (display port) other on my GPU (HDMI)

I've followed the following guide already but still nothing.

My part list is as follows

CPU: i5-9600k
Motherboard: msi Z370-a pro
CPU cooler: cooler master HYPER TXE evo
RAM: Corsair vengeance LPX DDR4 1 x 8GB 2400MHz
PSU: OCZ mod x stream-pro 700W
GPU: msi GTX 1050 ti
HDD: seagate 500GB
SSD: plextor 128GB

I hope someone can help me out.

Fixed it, just needed to update the BIOS. The motherboard supports gen 9 intel but the installed BIOS did not... Loaned a gen 8 cpu to install the BIOS and placed mine back afterwards.
