So this all started a few days ago. My set up is as follows.
GTX 970
ASUS M5A99FX 2.0 mobo
AM Fx6300 CPU
4x2 G skill Ram
3 Kingston SSD (brand new)
1 WD 500 gm HHD (4 years old)
So I had left my computer on overnight to download some games on steam and woke up that following morning to shut it off. No issues so far. Later that day I hit the power button on my case and everything booted up except there was no video. This is an issue I had when i first installed my GTX 970 and I had previously fixed it by switching the CMOS cap on and off. After resetting the CMOS I attempted to hit the power button....and nothing. Not even a short spin from any of the fans. I followed all the steps on the guide and nothing has worked. Ive tried using known good PSU (from older builds) and I recently bought a replacement MOBO, still no power. Please help me out here. This is very frustrating and Im to the point of giving up and saving this as a project after school ends this semester. Thank you for the help.
The only thing I can think of is when I took the cap off the CMOS I forgot to flip the switch of the PSU and unplug it. I would have figured that any issue this might have caused would have been fixed when the new MOBO was installed, but nothing seems to have helped. My only other option is thinking that maybe the CPU is bad, but all the research Ive done shows that at LEAST the fans turn on and power is distributed from the PSU. I have nothing at all except a green LED on the MOBO that indicates a PSU is plugged in.
