PC won't power on at all

So my PC just randomly shutdown and won't power on at all. Worked fine for a year. I have a corsair cx600 psu.

asrock extreme4 MB
3570k cpu
7970 gpu

Seeing no lights on back or on motherboard. I don't have the tools to test it either. It seems like it failed and i'll have to replace it. Just wanted to be sure nothing else could cause it.

the corsair cx series isnt very good and unrealible

Ok any ideas on a reliable replacement?

it might not be the psu though but just to make sure do u have another pc to test out the parts of your current pc in?

I do have an older dell. Should i try the old psu just to see if it powers on first?

Ok so I plugged in the other psu and it did power on, the old psu doesn't have pci-e power cables so I wasn't able to get display but it appears that it must be my old psu and I'll have to replace it.

Any thoughts on a reliable psu? Not looking to send more than $100 if possible. Any help greatly appreciated.

Another update, I plugged monitor into the board gpu so pc works and all, but my 7970 is out of the picture until i can get a new psu. I'm looking at Corsair TX650w. Good choice? Better option?

u can rma your psu to get a new psu or a refund or a good reliable psu would be http://pcpartpicker.com/part/rosewill-power-supply-hive650 great reiews and if there is ever something wrong wlike a short with an extension or something it powers off not damaing your pc which is a great feature 😛
