I bought a new mobo CPU ram and psu. Rog strix b350f, ryzen 5 2600, Corsair tx650m PSU. If I have everything plugged in, lights are on but nothing is running. If I unplug the GPU, evga 980ti, the PC powers on but no display.

Right so the first question is what version of BIOS is your motherboard running.
If it is not the latest then the new Ryzen 2 may not be compatible until you upgrade to bios 3803.

The 2600 does not have inbuilt graphics, that is why you will not get a display without GPU.

So your choices are to buy a new motherboard with a 400 series chipset, or to beg steal or borrow a Ryzen 1 or an old A6 or X4 cpu so tha you can do the bios upgrade.

Can you take it to your vendor to see if they can confirm the bios version.
