I have a Acer Aspire REVO R3700-U3002 nettop PC w/ win 7 64bit & just got a new 1080p LED tv.
When i hook the PC up via VGA to the TV it displays correctly & wonderful, when i go into the Nvidia control panel it says native resolution is 1920x1080 & that is what the resolution is set to.. the problem though when hooking up via HDMI port on the PC to TV is the text is a little jaggy & pictures/videos arent as clear as VGA... i can see everything, its just not pretty & when i go into the Nvidia control panel it says native resolution is 1360x768.
when i try to change the resolution to 1920x1080 it just shrinks everything back to normal size but the quality is blah!

I am using a 6 year old but brand new never used 12ft hdmi cable.. Any suggestions ?

BTW I believe my video card is Nvidia Ion on board graphics.

I've got 2 new (different brands) 6ft high-speed cables on the way, so i will let you know if it helps, but the 1360x768 unless they consider that 720p is not listed as one of the resolutions in the tv manual .

1080p - 1920×1080p: 2,073,600 pixels (~2.1 megapixels [Mpx]) per frame
1080i - typically either:
1920×1080i: 1,036,800 pixels (~1 Mpx) per field or 2,073,600 pixels (~2.1 Mpx) per frame
1440×1080i: 777,600 pixels (~0.8 Mpx) per field or 1,555,200 pixels (~1.6 Mpx) per frame
720p - 1280×720p: 921,600 pixels (~0.9 Mpx) per frame

So yeah, it would be closer to a 720P rate.

Tried one of the new cables that came in & no go.. My tv says it a 1080p but the Nvidia control panel says the native resolution is 1360x768 & i can tell something is missing i have it set to 1920x1080 but it dosent look right

I have the latest drivers just updated & restarted no go, downloaded directly from nividia. Again when using vga cable it says the native resolution is 1920x1080 in the nvidia control panel & when i unplug vga & hook up hdmi is says native res. is 1360.768 in the control panel my tv says it is a 1080p connection but its obvious some pixels are missing my tv is this one http://www.tclusa.com/products/led/le40fhde3010/

I believe it to be the board as i have tried 4 different cables now all with the same result, plus ive had the pc for about 4 years & have never tried the hdmi port so thats where im leaning to, but just out of curiosity would a tv firmware update help ? but i dont want to brick my tv.
