pc wont recognize flash drive!

it just started this morning. i awoke pc from sleepmode...and some icons connected to portable programs on flash were missing. and now for some reason, pc wont recognize the flash drive. even though it was working fine last night. all 8K files temporarily gone.. i say temp because i can see the files on my PS3 console...very odd. i was thinking of copying any essential files while viewing on PS3 to another, but all 8K?? any hints?

It is odd indeed. You could try a file manager so that you can transfer the content of that flash drive to another via your PS3, if the data is important. You could also try it with a different computer, to see if it get lucky and recognizes it.

Have you checked if the flash drive is recognized by Disk Management and Device Manager? If not - give it a go and post a screenshot of Disk Management if you can see it.
