Solution

thats a nice overclock u have there :). ive had the same problem as u and after a whole night of searching i may have the solution to your problem. from experience and from what ive read online on the MSI forums the problem may lie in the fact that z87 chipsets and the haswell 4th gen refresh CPU's are not totally compatible. what finally solved my problem was updating bios and the management engine by flashing it through a USB drive. you can download an updated driver from the MSI site found here...
most times that a cmos glitch...take power off the pc till the mb power good led goes off then clear the cmos. then check to see if your mb has the newest bios if not update it using the mb bios updater inside the bios. the mb should shut down fine after the cmos is cleared.

Yes I do have. It's an i7-4790K overclocked to 4.7GHz and a MSI Z87-G45. The problem is still there though and now I'm running Windows 10 instead.

download the latest one, unrar it and put the files in the root folder of the USB and go to the m-flash bios option on your mother board and select update bios + me. allow your pc to update everything, it may restart 2 or 3 times but i think thats part of the process. i really hope this helps pls let me know how this possible solution works for u.

Solution
sorry forgot to mention what makes my solution different from the first answer is that you also have to update your management engine along side your bios. thats what was the deciding factor in my case and hopefully it will work for u too
